But I think that the person who has the strongest claim, and would be more willing to take the post, is Comm. Rumsey, R.N. He was appointed in 1880 to be Comm. for the Volta district of the Gold Coast, at £600 per annum, and quarters. Captain Moloney states in 17330/52 that he is efficient, energetic, and reliable. He told me when on leave that he would like to return to the Gold Coast if it became vacant.
